I think we also lack an easy way to track and monitor contributors to
evaluate them properly.
The contributor may interact with many devs but there is really no
person or entity to help them take the next step after a few patches.
We do have this for GCI and GSoC, so extending the ideas there for
ordinary contributors shouldn't be that hard. A developer advocates or
developer relations team and a path for contributors to follow could
help everyone IMO.
