I've actually always hoped it could become part of the core distribution, so it would be immediately available to anyone. It probably also could do with a bit better integration. I've always felt that the need for each script to have a FILE_TYPES attribute (normally 'application/octet-stream') depends too much on how the Tracker "happens" to work. And it would be nice to be able to adjust the attribute to specify the actual filetypes the script is interested in. In theory this could be done now, but it would involve the same hassle that Augustin has just been through! Not sure what would actualy be involved, but I'd think the xicon functions could be completely integrated into Tracker, with some extended utility to convert a shell script into a xicon one. Also Ingo's suggestion that a click could invoke a command line instead of an app would be useful where many files (like .jars) need the same action without an individual script being associated. -- Pete --
