I am working with AMD to get a full copy of their SimNow emulator for developers associated with Haiku who want access to it. AMD's SimNow emulator helps facilitate supporting AMD chip sets/video cards as it emulates them by model. (not a generic virtual device like qemu) An example of SimNow running Haiku can be seen here: https://ssl.unixzen.com/simnow_HD.png There is a public version available on the AMD website with limited functionality: http://developer.amd.com/cpu/simnow/pages/default.aspx There are a few requirements though to keep in mind: VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV * you will need to sign an NDA. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ * you will need to provide personal contact information. * each copy of the full SimNow will need to be kept for your own personal Haiku use (don't post it publicly) * SimNow is not speedy, it runs like molasses. * SimNow is meant to facilitate driver development and is not for day-to-day use. * developers with commit access are preferred, however if you do a lot of testing you could be included. If you are interested, please contact me and let me know. Deadline is Thursday March 24th, 2011 6:00PM (GMT -6) (you can always apply on your own, It's just easier in bulk) Thanks! -- Alexander von Gluck IV
