Correct about media plugin, but first Haiku API must be added. It's only AVI at 
the moment.
I'll post a screen shot this weekend when I return home. I think UltraDV has a 
nice interface to build from. 


I should say that I also agree that 64-bit is best for serious professional 
video editing. But I also think that
having a basic, simple, powerful, native 32-bit video editor will be a great 
starting place to show the capabilities
of Haiku for multimedia. Once we have additional basic editing and authoring 
tools, people will have a reason to 
try and then stick with Haiku. This is why I have been advocating for Haiku 
applications like the following:
a good word processor, a good spreadsheet tool, a simple and easy database 
(with documentation and examples),
more games, multi-user games, and a few others.
