From what I saw, if you really care about ABI compat, it's possible. But there's some items on the R2 TODO to consider moving to a different C library, as well as some other general TODOs about ABI breakage, so I think at this point we don't really care as we'll be breaking ABI in R2 anyway. -Augustin
