I might have missed something, but I thought the general consensus was that 
this isn't really a good idea, as it cannot work properly anyway.
Instead, it had been suggested to use action labels instead like "Cmd" for 
either Ctrl/Alt/whatever depending on your keymap; Keymap would then be the 
only source of what key this corresponds to on your keyboard. FWIW I would like 
that approach better.
