Huh? Every compiler I know only produces binaries for a single target. 
AFAICS, that's not the reason why one is supposed to add a specific hint to 
the version, but it's because we have applied haiku-specific patches to 
gcc-2.95.3 that aren't available anywhere else (so the compiler behaves 
differently).
