I think for GCC it makes some sense, as it's a GCC flavor that only 
produces Haiku executables. I guess the SuSE way would be enough, 
though, but some sort of designation sounds like a good idea to me.
For jam, it also makes sense, as it's not a plain Jam, but has grown 
specific features to suit our build system. An alternative would be to 
rename it as FreeType has chosen to do. Maybe some ham will help us out 
some day, though :-)
