What's puzzling though is that I haven't yet seen any similar issues with other apps in the tree that use the layout kits, since I don't really see what Web+ is doing differently from any of them such that it'd work in trunk and fail in weak-symbols, since you haven't made any changes to the layout side of things in your branch.
