+1. Why a special background?
Maybe an Installer-like logo (not too big) would be better.
We could also remove some of the text. The buttons at the bottom should
be enough to convey the available options and that one can choose a
language and keymap is also pretty obvious. Maybe a short and friendly
welcome text suffices.
