Actually I'm doing this translations just as a way to test the
localization.

You mean those translations are not meant to be kept? :)

They are quick-made and I know it's possible to improve them a lot. So, keep them, but make them better :)


I know they are not perfect, and everyone is free to improve
them :)

I actually started to modify it but was just asking for your opinion
and other's. The "what is the plan" part was not even directed at the
french translation but at translating system component names in
general.

Yes, this is indeed one of the big problems. The preflet names will be translated where applicable, they are already in the window title but I can't think of a simple and efficient solution to translate them in the deskbar. "Serveur de Média" sounds weird but maybe we could find a better sounding name, perhaps not so close to the english wording...
