A few weeks ago, Barrett announced his plan for forking the ffmpeg add-on and
updating
the fork for using modern ffmpeg APIs. The "forking" part and figuring out
Jamfiles for
it is wasted, as we can now have a single add-on again. But indeed, using a
single ffmpeg
version, and a modern one, does make things simpler eventually.
