A normal tooltip has a delay of a second before it shows. With this you
can show the tooltip instantly by clicking on it if you are going

If that's the case, wouldn't it make more sense to make the details in
question a fixed/always visible part of the UI rather than hijacking
tooltips for it? I was planning to try it tonight after work in any
case, but I simply asked because of the commit description implying
the change was due to touch devices, which seems an odd decision to
make.
