I would say "less than 500MB free and less than 5% of the disk" should
be fine?
Taking the filmmaker argument into consideration 500MB is not enough,
but I agree 50GB is a lot.
I'd say less than 5GB and less than 5%. Or we could even split this:
- partitions >500GB are likely used for storage so a limit can be
bigger (50 or 25 GB + 10%);
- partitions with less than 500GB total can have a lower limit (10 or
5 GB + 5%).
