It can be solved by setting the umask on the buildbot slaves (in the
buildbot configuration). for
some reason the default umask set by buildbot is not what we expect. Some
slaves were already
fixed, but not all of them.
If this can make the problem to still happen in custom builds I prefer to
look for a more
definitive solution at this point.
I don't think anyone has seen this problem in custom builds, because the
default umask pretty much everywhere works fine (or if you change it manually,
you are looking for trouble). Only the unusual configuration in buildbot
default settings seems to be a problem.
