No, that isn't the only situation. The team ID is also used to determine
whether to use the local delivery method [1] and for the area based
message transfer [2, 3].
Indeed, I actually did know this when I wrote the code ;-)
[1] is not relevant in this use case, and [2] should be only be very
rarely used (but is definitely a reason why my initial implementation
should only ever been a temporary solution).
This should not explain the outcome, though :-)
