Yes please. I also think a fixed label is mentally easier to process.
That is because the label represents a "feature" for me more than an
action phrase. And I can toggle the "feature" on or off. I am all for
consistently using fixed labels. Of course this goes along with check
mark menu items being clearly recognizeable as such even when off. Don't
know if that is the case right now. I think the radio mode is also not
visually clear enough.

+1, patches welcome :-)
Although I don't think the missing clarity of a check mark item -- when it's off it's an action item, anyway (if the wording matches).
