Hi,

For XEmacs I need libXpm... which needs libX11... which needs...

I looked at the descriptions of libpthread_stubs, but it just says "libpthread_stubs". For util-macros it just says "Xorg util-macros". For libxcb it says "libxcb".

This is beyond lazy and IMHO unacceptable. Cleaning up the repository to fix useless package descriptions will be no fun, most likely it will never get done. These have to be sensible from the moment a package is first made available.

When I search for stuff and stumble across one of these packages, I want to know exactly what it is and what it is good for, and I assume I am not the only one. To get an idea of what the description of libpthread-stubs should have been, see

http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/6.3/general/libpthread-stubs.html

Please update the packages with proper information about them. I don't want to google the package name when the description should have been right there in the package.

Best regards,
-Stephan
