No more and no less than it did before. It was a comparison returning -1/01
(smaller/equal/greater), and now it's a comparison that returns true/false
(smaller/greater). It never was a sort function.
Okay, that removes the "anymore". It still does not explain why you
didn't take the chance to rename it, though :-)
