Congrats on finishing your work :-)Actually, I have still several hours left which I plan spending on some minor code cleanups, some work with scheduler profiler to improve performance where possible, and fixing any problems that may be reported. However, since I don't expect any major changes anywhere I reckon there was no reason to hold off the merge.
Congrats! I already successfully updated. I took some timing measurements compiling with KDEBUG_LEVEL 0 in the Haiku revision before the merge. I also took some in Linux, which wipes the floor with Haiku, being about two times faster (4 core i5, running from the same SSD). Now I am waiting for the updated GCC2 package, because building in Haiku is currently broken with the conflicting definition for atomic_whatever in the GCC2 headers... :-)
Have you taken any measurements of your own? Please share if you have! :-) Best regards, -Stephan
