Doesn't this, at least partially, duplicate functionality found in
http://cgit.haiku-os.org/haiku/tree/src/system/kernel/vm/vm.cpp#n2843 ?
The functionality there is somewhat similar, but not really close enough. I tried to keep the new interface flexible, but it lacks options for interpreting the data as multi-byte integers (short, word, long word) to be usable for the display_mem() function as well.
