I think you forgot the sarcasm tag.

You did a good thing and made this work consistently. I place no blame on
you and I'm sorry that you get the brunt on this just because you did the
job. No good dead goes unpunished.

Using shift is better for horizontal scrolling because Mac OS Finder

I do care though, that's why I've kicked the idea around in the back of my
brain for a while, sorry I'm only brought it up now.

OS X doesn't have one for that but Haiku did and for the longest time it
was activated using control option or command. I used control and it sunk
into my muscle memory. Command had to go because it's reserved by apps and
WebPositive uses it for zooming. So somebody (Oliver I guess) changed it to
shift which is ok except for the reasons I outlined, muscle memory and I
would like to use shift for horizontal scrolling.

There is no reason to use shift and 2 reasons I've given not to. Like I
said, it's not life or death, just would be nice to make it control if it's
not too much trouble.

Sorry you're the one to receive all this, you didn't do anything wrong, you
just triggered the thoughts that were already brewing in my head.
