I agree with JÃrÃme and Ingo here. The two menu items for which you
share the variable are completely unrelated, and it is confusing to
share the variable for them.

Noted. We are discussing making a more uniform way to restart tracker in the event
of a crash.

Don't pull hrev44673 into R1A4 and i'll either remove all of the code or correct it.
