* Add a notification if the network interface monitored by
the system tray icon has a major state change.
* This gives users a little feedback on connection state.

Let me know if anyone hates this change *too* much.. it just seemed like an
easy
call to me.
We could easily expand it in the future to handle wireless network
notifications, etc.
