As others have stated, it's not /completely/ useless. The drag&drop of
a selection to another app/Tracker is a nice feature. What should be
removed are functions that actually edit the image IMO, i.e. moving and
dropping a selection onto the image itself.
Another feature involving a selection could be double-clicking it to
zoom into that region.
