You are the first to complain in ten years, so it's not a feature everyone
missed.
Anyway. as I said before: I don't know if Tracker is allowed to run when
you change the file. Apparently, it is not, ie. it will save the settings
on exit. So you have to quit Tracker, then change the file, and launch
Tracker again afterwards.
