#8823: DriveSetup won't let you repartition GPT drives to MBR (intel) ---------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: kallisti5 | Owner: stippi Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Applications/DriveSetup | Version: R1/Development Resolution: | Keywords: GPT, MBR Blocked By: 8991 | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ---------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by siarzhuk): Replying to [comment:6 siarzhuk]: > Can anybody check if the problem can be solved using "writembr" console program? In case that helps - implementing #5980 will fix this one too. I have checked it with USB flash drive - writembr overwrites only first 512 bytes of the disk. To disable GPT bytes in range 512-1024 should be zeroed. After re-plugging the stick - DriveSetup is able to work with Intel map. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/8823#comment:7> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
