might be the difference, but that's a long shot at best.
Perhaps it is something to do with the order in which the add-ons get
loaded from the image, which could be different with different versions of
tar or different filesystems on the build machine?
FWIW, I was getting this bug when I was using Fedora 17 as my build
system, though IIRC it went away after a while and it never happened when
I was building on OS X.
