 Just a little note:  I created a 2Gb USB of hrev 44330 and... it BOOTED!
 It crashed at the same place (4th icon; disk with leaf), as it does when I
 use a CD-R of the same version, but at least now it boots.

 In other news, when I disabled everything (in the options menu), it came
 up to the desktop.  Not terribly useful in this state (one core, no
 networking, etc.), but Haiku DOES see the CPU as an AMD A-series 1.4GHz
 processor!

 So, I definitely think progress is being made (deliberately or not), for
 which I am quite excited.
