 More information....

 now that I have a working Hakiu install.  I have connected the usb drive
 and put in a CD.  But Haiku does not see the CD.  Tested CD/DVD rom by
 using AROS bootable CD and it does work.  I can boot, up to a point, the
 Haiku Live CD.  It seems that at some point during the boot process it
 looses the ability to see the CD Rom.

 In "Drive Setup" I can see the CD/DVD Drive "/dev/disk/usb/0/0/raw" but
 File System, Volume Name, Mounted At, are all blank.  It is giving me the
 size of the CD and is getting current information from the drive.  I put
 in a number of different audio/video/data CDs and would go to "rescan" and
 the size would vary depending on what I had put in the drive.  When the
 drive is empty it reads 0 bytes.
