When in doubt, there is always the http://www.haiku-os.org/development
/coding-guidelines page - while it surprisingly does not mention the
asterisk style as far as I can tell, the right one (ie. "Type* variable")
is used in all examples. And this is also what Michael and Stippi told
you.
