Strange, that's the same kernel panic I get when I try to boot from an
alpha3-iso. Never gave it a second thought, though, because I attributed
the boot failure to an incorrectly burned CD (cdrecord in haiku) - I can
boot fine from a microSD card (install from alpha3-raw image with
 Installer in alpha2).

However, apart from the almost same (my system crashes on thread11/CPU0)
kernel panic I see not too much similarities between your setup and mine.
Compared to your system my laptop is ancient: Pentium M (Centrino - single
core), IDE, < 2GB RAM, Intel 855PM chipset, ATI MOBILITY Radeon 9000.

I'm going to test booting again with an alpha3-anyboot CD.
