Haiku fails to find a boot volume on my Core2Quad machine. It sticks at
the fourth icon, and after some time shows a "PANIC: can't find boot
volume. Welcome to kernel debugging land !".

 Machine:
  - core2quad
  - 4gb ram
  - sata (using "ide" compatibility mode in bios didn't change anything)

I'll try some of the boot options and post the results here.

This happens with the Alpha 2 ISO image as well as the latest build from
 17 july 2010.
