#6324: Haiku boot image fails on HP Vectra pentium 3 computer ----------------------------------+----------------------- Reporter: Karvjorm | Owner: axeld Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Servers/app_server | Version: R1/alpha2 Resolution: | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: 7665 Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ----------------------------------+----------------------- Comment (by umccullough): Replying to [comment:19 Caylon]: > I can confirm that the onboard VGA (0x1132) of the HP Vetra VL 400 doesn't work with Haiku (Alpha 3). It seems this is an Intel i810 chip based on the deviceID. Please try a recent nightly, only a couple weeks ago an experimental i810 driver was added to Haiku. Until then, none existed, and i810's VESA implementation was not supported by Haiku. You will probably get a junk bootscreen, but hopefully you'll end up at a blue desktop. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/6324#comment:20> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
