The text input caret in text input boxes (such as in Vision, WebPositive,
etc) starts out for me at 14px tall, 1px from the top of the box and 3px
from the bottom of the box, when it blinks off, it leaves the bottom 1px
in the box, then blinks back on at 13px tall (1px from top, 4px from
bottom), then blinks off completely without leaving the 1px artifact. It
then starts back at the 14px tall caret and repeats this cycle.
I'm using r36263 gcc4hybrid, and have gone back and tested earlier builds
(such as r35900) to confirm this isn't happening in older builds, but
haven't narrowed down where it first appeared.
(I also note that the blink rate is quite stuttered... and seems almost
random in the pace. It will be like short on, long off on, short off on
off on, long off, short on, long off etc... at least I can't make out a
pattern easily.)
I'm attaching a picture of a text input box in Vision showing the 4 states
of the input caret I'm talking about.
If I can narrow down which revision this first appeared in, I'll update
the ticket.
