#5374: Contents of files ending up in other files ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Reporter: mmlr | Owner: bonefish Type: bug | Status: new Priority: critical | Milestone: R1 Component: System/Kernel | Version: R1/Development Keywords: | Blockedby: Platform: All | Blocking: ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Comment(by mmlr): After looking a bit more closely the wrong content in linkcatkeys seems to be part of a preprocessed source file judging for the "# <line> <header>" lines present. The partition this happens on is a separate non-indexed BFS partition where I keep all the source, so it is unlikely that a preprocessed file would just happen to be there (as all of that usually goes to the /tmp dirs on /boot). So to me it looks like that the content of a different file is actually written back to this one and it not being just a previously freed BFS block which isn't fully overwritten. The drive was in use previously, but the content I see there (localekit, icu) has not been integrated back then I think, so I'm pretty sure it's no leftover from that either. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/5374#comment:2> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
