#5316: Tracker "Rating" attribute display doesn't work ------------------------------------+---------------------------- Reporter: stippi | Owner: axeld Type: bug | Status: closed Priority: low | Milestone: R1 Component: Applications/Tracker | Version: R1/Development Resolution: fixed | Keywords: Blocked By: | Blocking: Has a Patch: 0 | Platform: All ------------------------------------+---------------------------- Comment (by humdinger): Hmm... wouldn't it make more sense to use floating point instead of integer then? MediaPlayer seems to be the only app currently that offers to set a rating (between 1 and 10). Having only 5 stars to represent this number is awkward. Having more than 5 stars is bad too, because it takes some effort to count them all... :) I guess the goal is to offer a nicer graphical input of the rating, like dragging the mouse over highlighting (half)stars, see e.g. [http://imdb.com IMdB.com]. This should be available in Tracker as well, of course. Still, having floats from 1 to 5 with 0.5 steps seems to be more intuitive to me. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/5316#comment:6> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
