#5050: Left over filetype after removing an app -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Reporter: humdinger | Owner: axeld Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Preferences/FileTypes | Version: R1/Development Keywords: | Blockedby: Platform: All | Blocking: -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- This is r34203. I installed BePodder, which messed up networking related things...[[BR]] Removing it left application/x-vnd.xed.bepodder which is displayed in FileTypes preferences' panel "File | Application Types". The BePodder binary is already gone from the system. Now the bug: When moving from one entry in the list of that panel to the next, the "Information" and "Version" boxes to the right display the related info. When you reach the removed app (BePodder), only "Name" and "Signature" is updated, the rest of the info is still from the previous entry. Shouldn't the button "Remove Uninstalled" remove the orphaned BePodder mime type? It doesn't. I attached x-vnd.xed.bepodder so anyone can put it into ~/config/settings/beos_mime/application/ for quick testing. -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/5050> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
