 I have tested this some more and for every minute since the last time that
 the pen was in proximation there will be four errors when I unplug the
 tablet. There is an upper limit however: there won't be more than ~20
 errors when unplugging the tablet.

 Because of the upper limit in usb errors shown when unplugging the tablet,
 I'm not entirely sure if my prediction still holds. It does however cause
 my cardreader to stop working when the pen is not in proximation for ~4
 minutes (see comment:ticket:2344:21).
