 I know that FreeBSD lets you change various device driver options for
 snd_hda via devices.hints:

 I believe the same is true for Linux, via module parameters.  Though I've
 never had to adjust them on either of those platforms, is there a way to
 play with those options on Haiku?  Perhaps that's all I need to do.  I'm
 going to attach the verbose kernel output from freebsd as it pertains to
 hdac and pcm.
