 it uses a wrong height somewhere.

 To me it seems this depends on the driver used rather than the hardware
 generation, i.e. the intel_extreme and s3 seem to work fine, but some
 others, like the radeon_hd don't (yet?). Couldn't this possibly be enabled
 on a per-driver base?
