 I've just tested this binary using r38978 in VirtualBox and it works as
 expected. Did you try to boot '''without''' using any options from the
 bootloader? The difference is disabled vesa_set_display_mode loop. No, you
 don't need to replace vesa kernel file as it just enables additional
 tracing you don't need.
