Tested with hrev50677 x86_gcc2
Play a mp3 file with MediaPlayer
Media Settings is showing Audio settings, Audio mixer, and HD Audio

Restart Media Services while file is playing
The file cannot be restarted and HD Audio is now missing from Media
Settings (screenshot2.png)
Only a reboot will bring back normal functions.
