Setting modes probably doesn't work very good on DDI (or not at all) yet,
so you should probably go into the boot menu, select the same mode as is
set in app_server (1024 apparantly) and continue the boot without using
failsafe graphics.
Or the other way around:
- boot with vesa mode, set 1920x1080, reboot without vesa mode. If the
icons screen is not displayed at 1920x1080 then, try again with explicitly
setting this mode in the bootmenu, without using failsafe graphics.
Hopefully one of those methods (or both) will work for you. I don't really
expect that the driver itself messes up.. But I would love to hear the
results from above tests from you :-)
