Yes, that might be useful, and in fact, we're already doing this -- for
some selected libraries that are supposed to live side by side (like SDL 1
vs. SDL 2).
However, our package management can only run two packages of the same
library side by side if, and only if, they use different names.
Unfortunately, this makes this impractical to use on a general basis.
