#16712: Failure to boot with wrong reporting too much RAM

Comment (by eu):

Tried R1/beta2 (rev 54154) and also the latest nightly rev 54821. Both of
 them behave the same way:

 - On 128GB RAM machine it stops with *** PANIC *** Can't currently support
 more than 512GB of RAM.
 - On 64 GB RAM machine it stops at Haiku screen without lighting any of
 the 7 icons.

It looks like the 512GB message is not new, being there for quite a while!

What quantity of RAM are other people successfully booting?

Is there a debug option or version that shows more messages on screen
during boot so we can pinpoint where it stops?
