Colored characters breaks native text formatting such as font color.
 Characters are intended to be used for representing written language. No
 modern human languages use color for characters so it is not needed.
 Embedded pictures should be used for emoji.

 Maybe there is a misunderstanding here. I think most implementations use a
 similar approach that you mention for displaying Emoji, the ticket here is
 for having render support, one way or another.

 I installed Noto Emoji, and could not display any Emoji either in Web+ or
 StyledEdit. The scope of the ticket is to fix this.
