#16032: DiskProbe crashes when choosing Attributes menu > [attribute] after this
attribute was previously deleted
------------------------------------+-----------------------------
Reporter: cafeina | Owner: axeld
Type: bug | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone: R1/beta2
Component: Applications/DiskProbe | Version: R1/Development
Keywords: diskprobe | Blocked By:
Blocking: | Platform: x86-64
------------------------------------+-----------------------------
== Steps to reproduce incident:
Open a file with DiskProbe that has attributes, these populate
"Attributes" menu. When clicked any of them the atribute editor pops up.
There, if user deletes the attribute with menu Attribute > Remove from
file, the attribute is removed from file (pop up window is also closed),
but the Attributes menu of the parent window does not remove the now non-
existent data. That allows the user to be able to select that attribute
from menu, but trying to open something that does not exist anymore makes
the app crash.
== Comment from submitter:
I think the problem here is that the menu is not refreshed every time a
change of attributes occurs, but it keeps with the list that was
automatically populated from the start.
== Environment:
Tested with live USB of hrev54154_31 x86_64 (test release of beta 2
offered here: https://discuss.haiku-os.org/t/help-wanted-r1-beta2-boot-
hardware-testing/9511) in bare metal.
