When creating a BFS partition it's not immediately obvious that it won't
be formatted to BFS. Installer will complain about such partition even
though they will be labelled as (Be File System) adding even more
confusion.

Adding "Format to BFS" checkbox (enabled by default) to this dialog could
avoid the confusion:

Installer should also mark unformatted partitions somehow.
