You could go into Terminal als stop the mail_daemon with: {{{launch_roster
stop x-vnd.Be-POST}}}\\
Before starting it again with {{{/system/servers/mail_daemon}}}, make sure
it's not running anymore (kill it with ProcessController, for example).
The output in Terminal may provide some insights.
